Reflecting on GreenCademy: Growth, Unity & a Greener Future
The GreenCademy project in Germany was more than just an exchange; it was a journey of learning, reflection, and connection that brought together young people from four different countries (Germany, Italy, and Romania), including our KAMM participants from Spain. The energy was vibrant, the conversations were powerful, and the unity they experienced was unforgettable.
For KAMM, this project was significant. Five of our seven participants came from Ceuta, and for many of them, this was not only their first international exchange but also their first time flying in an aeroplane. That alone made the experience unforgettable, a step into the unknown that opened new doors, forged new friendships, and instilled a new sense of confidence. What they discovered in Germany was more than knowledge; it was the realisation that their voices matter and that they are part of something bigger: a global youth movement for sustainability.
Through workshops, games, and powerful discussions, they learned about the farming industry, its challenges, and the roles politics, supermarkets, and consumers play. They developed entrepreneurial project ideas, explored creative solutions, and saw firsthand how local actions can inspire global change.
But beyond the sessions, what left the deepest impact were the connections and shared moments: exploring the cities of Erfurt and Weimar, walking through the beautiful community garden Egapark in Germany, swimming in rivers, movie night in the woods watching Forrest Gump, picnicking by the river, and sitting together by the bonfire with music and laughter.
For our participants from Ceuta, GreenCademy was a life-changing experience, proving that stepping outside their comfort zones can lead to growth, inspiration, and lifelong friendships. For all participants, it was a reminder of the power of unity, collaboration, and youth-led action.
GreenCademy showed us that when young people from different countries come together, they can create solutions, build bridges, and dream of a future where sustainability is at the heart of everything we do.
Together, we are the change.

About our participants
At KAMM Artistic Europe, we're proud of our 7 young participants, including our chairperson, Kelvin Akpaloo, who represented Spain at the Greencademy Youth Exchange 2025. Five came from Ceuta, and one came from Madrid and Malaga. Their energy, voices, and presence truly reflected the strength and diversity of diverse youth in Spain.
Here are some of the amazing moments that were captured.
