STEP IN - ROLE PLAY PEDAGOGY.

An Erasmus+ project focused on developing roleplay pedagogies for identity & acculturation processes in Migrant Youth Work.

Project

objectives.

  • To explore the relevance, tools, and extra considerations needed regarding role-play pedagogies in the context of marginalised communities (the main sub-focus is migration, but we are open thematically).

  • To train in and explore with 20 participants these methods.

  • To mentor participants to integrate these locally.

  • To build the capacity of our consortium in transnational cooperation.

Creating Intergenerational Bonds

Through Role-Playing.

Local Activity: 13th February 2025.

📍CALLE/ de Tarragona 17 (Madrid)

This intergenerational activity fosters empathy and understanding between young people (under 20) and older adults (over 70) through role-playing and creative writing. Participants receive a character profile opposite to their real age, exploring their character’s traits through movement exercises before writing a first-person narrative about their fictional life. The activity unfolds over three sessions: one with young participants, one with older participants, and a final session where both groups pair up to share their stories, discuss insights, and co-write a narrative blending their characters’ perspectives. This process encourages dialogue, challenges stereotypes, and highlights shared emotions and experiences across generations.

Training Course in Hungary 🇭🇺 .

KAMM Artistic Europe, we are looking for participants from Spain to take part in a training course on 16-24 November 2024, which will be held in Hungary, Malomkert Hotel Nagybörzsöny, Hungary. This training will involve 20 participants, with four people from each of the five countries—Spain, Ireland, Poland, Hungary, and Germany. This is an Erasmus+ project focused on developing Roleplay pedagogies for identity & acculturation processes in Migrant Youth Work. Over seven working days (subject to change), participants will pilot various methods and learn to use roleplay pedagogies at the local level. The course will provide a unique opportunity for participants to learn, collaborate, and exchange ideas on implementing roleplay techniques in their respective communities, fostering a deeper understanding and engagement through participatory methods.

During the training, participants will test methods explored in previous focus groups and surveys conducted by all participating countries. The training will also prepare participants to run local activities after the course. Each participant will bring a case or tool to explore in their native countries after the training. These cases and tools will be compiled into a shareable format, complete with illustrations, to facilitate broader dissemination.
